Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, overlaid by a central Panzer IV rolling over grassy ground, with its left tread extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Wilhelm Hobacher, Vienna, measuring 42.08 mm (w) x 59.98 mm (h), weighing 29.1 grams, most of the silver finish has been lost, in overall better than very fine condition.
