A very well-preserved edition of “Smalls Arms of the Sea Services”, by Colonel Robert H. Rankin. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding and retains its original paper stock dust jacket, with the exterior of the cover bearing a colour image of a US Navy dirk topped by author and title. The reverse bears an advertisement for another work offered by the publisher. The interior content consists of 227 paper stock pages with annotated black-and-white photographs of both edged weapons and firearms utilized by the US Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard, interspersed with historical information. The book was published in 1972 by N. Flayderman & Co. of New Milford, Connecticut. It measures 220 mm (w) x 268 mm (h). Material fatigue is evident to the dust jacket, but the book is in an overall better than very fine condition.
