Saxony, Kingdom. A 25-Year Long Service Cross with Certificate and Accompanying Letter to Major Bramsch

(Dienstauszeichnung 25 Jahre für Offiziere). Instituted 23 April 1874 by King Albert. Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central monogram of King Albert, the reverse with a number “25” in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 38.92 mm (w) x 42.88 mm (h), weighing 19.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.

Certificate named to Major Bramsch in Zentralabteilung des Generalstabes (Abwicklungs-Stelle) (central department of the general staff (processing office)), sent by Heeresabwicklungsamt Sachsen (army processing department Saxony), dated to Dresden on March 18, 1920. Measuring 209 mm (w) x 164 mm (h), presenting a folding crease, two punches holes, and light creasing of the edges, remains near extremely fine.
