Germany, Luftwaffe. An Officer’s Leather Greatcoat

(Ledermantel). A greatcoat of blue-grey leather construction, double breasted style, full length, with fold-back lapels and a lay-down collar, featuring dual, parallel rows of six front closure buttons with corresponding reinforced buttonholes on the left front panel, with two diagonally angled front hip pockets with slightly angular flaps at the waistline, the straight sleeves have a deep fold back cuffs measuring 16 cm stitched in an upright position, presents loops and grommets for shoulder board attachments, interior completely lined with grey rayon-blended fabric, measuring 48 cm across the shoulders, 65 cm in the sleeves, with a total length of 137.5 cm, displays signs of aging and evidence of salt staining, and in overall good condition.
