A well-preserved edition of “Early Firearms of Great Britain and Ireland”. The book is constructed of a card stock binding, with the exterior cover bearing a full-colour photograph of a cased set of duelling pistols, topped by the title. The interior content consists of 187 paper stock pages featuring detailed descriptions of a variety of pistols and rifles, supplemented by black-and-white photographs. The collection is an assemblage of items compiled by Clay P. Bedford. It was published in 1971 by The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York. The book measures 215 mm (w) x 278 mm (h). Minor material fatigue is evident, and the book is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
