Germany, SS. A SS Long Service Medal, I Class for 25 Years

(SS-Dienstauszeichnung I. Klasse für 25 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1941 issue). A Canadian Veteran "Bring Back" and used as a watch fob, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of a swastika with ribbed arms, the obverse with dual central Sig runes, within an oak leaf wreath joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER SS” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE SS”), unmarked, measuring 37.85 mm (w) x 42.06 mm (h), weighing 25.9 grams, age-appropriate tarnishing and material wear evident, in overall good condition.
