Germany, Third Reich. A 1935 Olympic Games Preparation Commemorative Table Medal

(Olympische Sommerspiele Erinnerungsmedaille). Constructed of blackened magnetic iron, the obverse bearing a central raised mobile swastika overlaid by an Olympic flag bearer, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “IM JAHRE DER OLYMPISCHEN VORBEREITUNG” (“IN THE YEAR OF THE OLYMPIC PREPARATION”), with a date of “1935”, the reverse bearing a raised German national eagle clutching the Olympic rings, above an unidentified maker’s mark, measuring 115 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
