Two-piece construction, the crown having been spliced and glued in place to the RFC Wings badge, in gold-coloured and silvered bullion wire, in various textures, red felt accent in the void of the crown, touches of red, green and blue embroidery in the crown's base, black threading giving definition to the wings and the base of the crown, on a black wool base, black cotton backer, measuring 130 mm (w) x 73 mm (h), white paper and glue residue evident on the reverse from previous board mounting, very fine.
