An Imperial Japanese Army Arisaka cartridge pouch, constructed of multiple pieces of brown leather and securely stitched together by multiple rows of heavy hand-stitched threading. It consists of two segmented pouches bearing brown leather belt loops on the reverse of the exterior. It is opened by a flap connected to the main body by dual bronze side rivets connecting to a leather strap affixed to the former by two brown leather loops. The interior of one pouch retains its original card stock lining apparatus. It is unmarked, with the exception of a single Japanese character on the interior of the lid flap, and measures 165 mm (w) x 70 mm (l) x 100 mm (h). Material fatigue consistent with age and field use is evident to the leather. In overall very fine condition.
