Portugal, Republic. A National Defence Institute of Portugal Table Medal

In bronze, obverse illustrating the National Defence Institute of Portugal insignia in the centre, surrounded by the inscription "INSTITUTO DA DEFESA NACIONAL", inscribed "PORTUGAL" below, the two inscriptions separated by eight-sided stars on either side, the insignia flanked by "CUNHARTE Gr Adolfo" on the left and "Des Eduardo Leitao" on the right, reverse illustrating a scroll engraved "Presented by INSTITUTO DA DEFESA NACIONAL Lisbon", the scroll fronting an open-ended wreath composed of two branches of laurel leaves, measuring 79.3 mm in diameter, contact marks, spotting, better than very fine.
