(Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps Fliegermesser). Model 1934 knife, Featuring a nickel silver-plated magnetic steel blade with a sharp tip and crisp edges. The blade presents cross graining and typical runner marks. With the dark acid etched "F. & A. Helbig Steinbach krm Gagller"maker’s mark on the reverse ricasso. The blade sits securely within the ribbed aluminum crossguard, bearing a central black mobile swastika on both the obverse and reverse, with the seam covered by a blue leather washer. The handle is wrapped in textured blue leather, and the knife completes with a rounded aluminum pommel. It is accompanied by its period original scabbard also in aluminum and wrapped in dark blue textured leather. With hanger constructed of a well worn blackened leather strap with a functional aluminum spring clip. The hanger is unmarked. Overall, in extremely fine condition and a good example.
