Germany, Der Stahlhelm. A 1931 Membership Badge, Large Version, by Stahlhof Magdeburg

(Der Stahlhelm Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered Stahlhelm, in turn bearing an engraved inscription of “DER STAHLHELM” flanked by an Iron Cross, above silvered oak leaves and a date of “1931”, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, engraved with an identification number of “V. BA. 58” and a date of “20. 4. 31”, maker marked with the logo of Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 30.36 mm in diameter, weighing 14.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
