Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, by Robert C. Dold

(Waffen-SS Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse bearing a central raised SS-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed swastika, on top of a pebbled and ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), the reverse with a loop and dual attachment prongs, maker marked “RODO” for the firm of Robert C. Dold, Offenburg, measuring 64 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), with minor oxidation evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
