Germany, DRK. A German Red Cross Active Membership Badge, Third Pattern, by Alfred Stübbe

(Deutsches Rotes Kreuz Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a white enameled disc overlaid by a German Red Cross (DRK) insignia, within a black enameled ring bearing an inscription of “DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ SCHWESTERNSCHAFT” (“GERMAN RED CROSS SISTERHOOD”), the reverse engraved with an inscription of “SAABRÜCKEN 139”, maker marked “A. STÜBBE, BERLIN”, measuring 31.21 mm in diameter, with chipping of the enamels evident, in overall very fine condition.
