Austria, Imperial. A 1914 Austro-Hungarian Landwehr Fencing Medal

(Fechtclub Medaille). Constructed of silvered bronze with a Gold border, obverse depicts central Austro-Hungarian coat of arms on top of crossed swords, circumscribed by inscription “FECHTCLUB DER OFFICIERE DER K. K. LANDWEHR” (“FENCING CLUB OF OFFICERS OF THE IMPERIAL AND ROYAL LANDWEHR”), reverse with central raised inscription “1914 FLEURETTEPOULE III. PREIS” inside laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 27 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original case, constructed of cardstock with a faux purple leather exterior, black satin-type lid liner with intact hinger cover, recessed black felt medal bed, functional magnetic metal spring catch with exterior stud release, functional magnetic metal hinge, in extremely fine condition.
