(Leopold Orden Kreuz 2. Klasse). Issued 1916-1918. A silver Maltese cross with purple enameled arms, and ball finals, with Leopold’s royal monogram between each arm of the cross, along with a hollow royal crown attached to the top of the cross; the obverse with a silver Lippian rose with a central multi-coloured enameled Schwalenberg coat of arms; the reverse with a decorated central crowned royal cypher of Leopold, with a vertical pinback and a functional hinge/catch assembly; measuring 50.00 mm (w) x 70.33 mm (h); weighing 33.8 grams; in better than extremely fine condition.
