(Orden Militar de Ayacucho). Instituted in 1944. In silver gilt with red and white enamels, maker marked "CASA DE MONEDA" and marked "925" (silver) on the reverse, measuring 64 mm (w) x 81.7 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.

Footnote: The Military Order of Ayacucho was instituted on November 30, 1944 an is awarded to military, civil guard and republican guard personnel for distinguished service in positions of command or for long periods, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
