Russia, Imperial. A Cross of the Society for the Restoration of the Russian Orthodox Faith in the Caucasus, Order of St. Nina 1860, Fourth Class  - Silver, weighing 10 grams, Kokoshnik marked with a woman's head beside the number "84", a made in St. Petersburg mark and maker marked "AK" (Aleksandr Krivovichev, St. Petersburg) in cyrillic capitals on the obverse of the integral ring, inscribed in cyrillic "ST. NINA THE EQUAL OF THE APOSTLES 1860" on the reverse, 41.2 mm x 46.5 mm, extremely fine.

Footnote: The cross was established for the conservation of the Russian Orthodox faith of the mountain people of the Caucasus. It was issued in four classes: First Class (Gold and white enamelled cross, with a thin green enamelled cross and a small Gold cross in the centre, on a purple neck ribbon), Second Class (same as the First Class version but without the small Gold cross, on a purple neck ribbon), Third Class (Gold but smaller and without enamels, on a purple breast ribbon) and Fourth Class (silver without enamels, on a purple breast ribbon).
