Three-piece construction, insignia in bronze gilt with red and blue enamels, with an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves in bronze gilt with green enamels place below the insignia, both pieces mounted to a bronze gilt base exhibiting emanating rays, maker marked "RANDAL RIO" on the reverse, measuring 47.7 mm (w) x 44.8 mm (h), dual push pin points, intact enamels, the twin prongs securing the wreath in place on the right side have broken off which causes the wreath to be loose versus the base, the twin prongs on the left side remaining intact, very fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, inside lid in white satin and maker marked "Randal RIO", recessed navy blue felt medal bed, light wear and scuffing on the exterior, very light soiling on the inside lid, case better than very fine.
