Germany, Der Stahlhelm. A 1924 Stahlhelm Membership Badge, Large Version, by Stahlhof Magdeburg

(Der Stahlhelm Mitgliedsabzeichen). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc bearing a raised and silvered Stahlhelm, in turn bearing an engraved inscription of “DER STAHLHELM” flanked by an Iron Cross, above silvered oak leaves and a date of “1924”, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, engraved with an identification number of “II. NM. 466” and a date of “28. 10. 1924”, maker marked with the logo of Stahlhof Magdeburg, measuring 30.47 mm in diameter, weighing 12.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
