Constructed of silver, the obverse with a raised and finely-detailed rightward-facing profile of Elector Wilhelm II of Hesse-Kassel, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “DEM VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”), within a laurel wreath, the edge marked “ACADEMIE DER BILDENEN KUNSTE” (“ACADEMY OF VISUAL ARTS”), the obverse marked “K” for an unconfirmed maker, measuring 37.32 mm in diameter, weighing 22.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
