(Magyar Szent Korona rend). Instituted in 1943. A rare star of excellent quality in silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, mounted to an eight-pointed star base, each star point with five faceted rays, measuring 90 mm (w) x 89 mm (h), vertical pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine.

 

Footnote: The Order of the Holy Crown was instituted on March 17, 1943 and awarded to foreigners for services to the Hungarian state and people. It was issued in five grades: Grand Cross, Commander with Star, Commander, Officer and Knight, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze Grade Crosses.
