Constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a raised number “25”, overlaid by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with four visible rivets securing in place the obverse features, with a raised barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Karneth & Söhne, Gablonz, measuring 47.74 mm (w) x 57.87 mm (h), weighing 36.1 grams, most of the silver finish has been lost, in overall near extremely fine condition.
