Serbia, Kingdom. An Order of the White Eagle, V Class Case, by Huguenin Frères & Co.

A presentation case for a V Class Badge of the Order of the White Eagle, constructed of a heavy card stock frame with a faux white leather exterior, the obverse lid with a gilt Serbian Cyrillic inscription of “"БЕЛИ ОРАО V.” (“WHITE EAGLE 5”), the interior with a white satin-type lid liner bearing maker’s marks of “БРАЋА ХУГУНИН И КОМП., ЛЕ ЛОКЛЕ (ШВАЈЦАРСКА)” and “HUGUENIN FRÈRES & CO., MEDAILLEURS, LE LOCLE (SUISSE)”, with a depressed white doeskin medal bed, opening with a functional silvered bronze spring catch with exterior stud released and a functional magnetic metal hinge, measuring 65 mm (w) x 125 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), some material fatigue evident, otherwise in very fine condition.
