1952 XV Summer Olympic Games Participant's Medal - Bronze, minted by Veljekset Sundqvist Oy of Helsinki, obverse illustrating right-facing male and female heads with olive branches overlaying the Olympic Stadium's running track, inscribed "HELSINKI 1952", with the original Swedish name for Helsinki "HELSINGFORS" inscribed below, designer marked "KAUKO RASANEN" below the heads, reverse illustrating a left-facing male and female athletes in Greek-style dress, each reaching out to the left with torches in their right hands, the Olympic Rings to the left, inscribed "XV OLYMPIA" above, high relief, 52.7 mm, extremely fine.
