The collection consists of: A list of decorations to Hauptmann (Captain) Dr. Eugen Kahn, transcribed from his Soldbuch (211x299mm, near fine). Kahn was awarded the Hindenburg Cross on March 27, 1940; Bulgarian Pilot Badge “Eagle” of the Royal Bulgarian Air Force on May 15, 1941; War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords on September 25, 1941; Order of the Crown of Romania with Swords on April 17, 1942; Romanian Medal “Crusade Against Communism” on June 19, 1942; Hungarian War Commemorative Medal with Swords and Helmet 1914/18 on March 8, 1943; Bulgarian Order of Merit 4th Class 1st Grade on March 23, 1942; Bulgarian Commemorative Medal 1915/18 on January 26, 1943; Knight’s Cross of the Order of the Hungarian Holy Crown with War Decoration and Swords on March 9, 1945. The document is dated to Badgastein (today Bad Gastein, Austria) on June 18, 1945 and signed in pencil by a medical official. There is a stamp from a Lazarett (Military Hospital).

An accompanying letter (209x148mm, better than very fine) to the award certificate for the Romanian Medal “Crusade Against Communism” to Hauptmann Eugen Kahn in Vienna, sent by the Luftgau post office Breslau, dated to May 19, 1944, and signed in pencil by a Senior Lieutenant, the name is indecipherable.

A pilot’s allowance letter (208x148mm, fine), stating that Kahn has been granted a pilot’s permit and is therefore eligible for the pilot’s allowance. The letter is dated to April 13, 1943. It was received two days later. It is signed on behalf of the Chief of Air Fleet Command 4 and Commander-in-Chief Southeast, the name is indecipherable.
