Peru, Republic. An Order of Aeronautical Merit, Miniature, by Zuldet

(Orden al Mérito Aeronáutico). Instituted in 1946. In silver with light blue, white and red enamels, maker marked "ZULDET" and marked "925" (silver) on the reverse, measuring 16.5 mm (w) x 19.2 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, chipping evident in the white enamels on three of the four arms of the cross, clasp on its original ribbon, suspended from a hanger with vertical pinback, fine.

Footnote: The Order of Aeronautical Merit was instituted in October 1946 and is awarded for particular achievements in aeronautical and military activities, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
