(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei II. Klasse für 18 Jahre mit Etui). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 43.30 mm (w) x 48.44 mm (h), weighing 23.3 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of field-grey card stock, the lid bearing a silver embossed number “18” within an oak leaf wreath, the interior with a grey felt medal bed, unmarked, measuring 50 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), minor loss of silver finish is evident to the cross and there is some material fatigue to the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
