(Silberne Medaille für Treue und Verdienst). Instituted on 28 March 1867. A round silver medal, the obverse centre presents the interlaced crowned cipher FR above the Roman numeral XXII (22), surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves with acorns, the reverse centre inscribed FÜR TREUE UND VERDIENST (FOR LOYALTY AND MERIT), surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves with acorns, measuring 26.39 mm in diameter, on loop for suspension from period original ribbon, and in very fine condition.
