Germany, Imperial. A First War Imperial German Navy Officer’s Belt Buckle

(Koppelschloss). A buckle in fire gilt bronze, illustrating a large "W" (Wilhelm cypher) fronting an anchor, surmounted by the Imperial crown and surrounded by an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, on the right end, unmarked, measuring 70.75 mm x 60.23 mm, presents light gilt wear and contact marks, and in very fine condition.
