Germany, Heer. A Panzer Assault Badge, Bronze Grade, by Karl Wurster

(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze). A badge constructed of oval-shaped bronzed tombak, hollow version, the obverse with a border of oak leaves tied at the base, topped by a Wehrmacht-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, measuring 41.57 mm (w) x 6.21 mm (h), weighing 15.2 grams, in near mint condition.
