France, Legion of Honor, Type III. Second Restoration Period 1816-1830. In Gold, a white Maltese cross with ball finials and green enamel oak and laurel wreath in each quadrant, the obverse centerpiece presents right facing profile of Henri IV surrounded by the inscription HEN IV ROI FRT DE NA, the reverse medallion presents three Fleur de Lys surrounded by an inscription HONNEUR ET PATRIE, the badge is surmounted by a large crown suspension, measures 10.77mm (w) x 18.90mm (h – inclusive of crown suspension), marked on the suspension ring with a French Owl Gold hallmark dating June 2 1893, denoting imported Gold items from noncontractual countries, light enamel wear, very fine condition; German, Hohenlohe, Order of the Phoenix, in Gold, a white enamel cross with Golden rays between the arms of the cross and extending into each arm, the obverse center presents a blue enamelled field with a hand-painted white phoenix, the reverse center presents Gold rays with a super imposed crowned black enamelled monogram PE (Philipp Ernst), suspended from a Fleur de Lys, measures 11.61mm (w) x 16.80mm (h – inclusive of Fleur de Lys and integral ball), enamel chipping to white enamel arms on both obverse and reverse, near very fine condition; Vatican, Order of St. Sylvester and Golden Spur, a white enamel Maltese Cross with smooth Gold rays between each arm, a small spur suspended from the knees of the 6 o’clock, the reverse mirrors the obverse, suspended from a large crown suspension, measures 10.33mm (w) x 19.73mm (h – inclusive of integral crown), enamels intact, in extremely fine condition. France, Order of Military Merit, in Gold, a white enamel Maltese cross with ball finials and Fleur de Lys in each quadrant, the obverse center presents a sword and green enamel wreath on an orange enamel field, surrounded in a dark blue enamel ring, reverse medallion missing, ornate setting 12.38mm (w) x 16.22mm (h – inclusive of integral suspension), a French Owl Gold hallmark dating June 2 1893, denoting imported Gold items from noncontractual countries on the reverse of the suspension ring, suspension ring replaced, wear to enamel, better than fine condition. All miniatures are worn on a Gold ribbon bar, entire bar weighs 6.5 grams, marked on the obverse with a French Owl Gold hallmark dating June 2 1893, denoting imported Gold items from noncontractual countries, in overall near extremely fine condition, a rare combination of miniature decorations.
