Germany, Imperial. A Naval Wound Badge, Gold Grade

(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of fire-gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval chain wreath, with a central anchor overlaid by crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 40.61 mm (w) x 46.58 mm (h), weighing 9.3 grams, in near mint condition.
