A pair of Iron Crosses, including a II Class award, constructed of a metal alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a non-magnetic blackened core within a ribbed silvered frame, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, unmarked, measuring 43.52 mm (w) x 49.33 mm (h), weighing 18.1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in very fine condition, and; a I Class award, constructed of a metal alloy, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a non-magnetic blackened core within a ribbed silvered frame, the obverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 43.96 mm (w) x 43.90 mm (h), weighing 18.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
