Germany, NSDAP. A Golden Party Badge, Small Version, by Josef Fuess

(Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP). A well-preserved Golden Party Badge, small version, constructed of gilded tombak with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, with a central black mobile swastika on a white enameled disc, within a red enameled ring bearing an inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”), the reverse with a horizontal pinback, stamped with a NSDAP membership number of “64237” for an unidentified individual, maker marked “JOS. FUESS, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 24.16 mm in diameter, weighing 7.7 grams, slight chipping and cracking is evident to the enamels, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by Detlev Niemann, in overall very fine condition.
