Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS Panzer EM/NCO’s Overseas Cap

(Waffen-SS Schiffchen für Panzertruppe). An extremely well-preserved Waffen-SS Panzer EM/NCO’s overseas cap, constructed of thick black wool, fully surrounded by scalloped fold-down panels. The peak of the cap bears an insignia in the form of a machine-embroidered silver-grey SS-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, measuring 70 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). Underneath the eagle is an additional insignia consisting of a SS-style Totenkopf of identical construction, measuring 30 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). The interior of the cap is fully encompassed by a light grey cotton twill liner, with the right side bearing a black stamped size mark of “57”. The cap is otherwise unmarked and measures approximately 285 mm (l) x 110 mm (h) when folded. With the exception of minor interior soiling, the cap is otherwise free of evident flaws and is in an extremely fine condition.
