A silver gilt, white enamel cross with laurel wreath segments in each quadrant, the central medallion presents a right facing profile of Albert on a white enamel field surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed ALBERTUS ANIMOSUS, the reverse medallion presents the Saxony Coat of Arms on a white enamel field surrounded by a blue enamel ring inscribed 1850 at 6 o’clock, the cross is surmounted by a crown, measures 13.15mm (w) x 21.58mm (h – including crown suspension), weighs 2.6 grams, light wear to reverse blue enamel ring, otherwise very fine condition.
