Instituted April 23, 1874 by King Albert. In silver gilt, a cross pattee, the obverse center presents the crowned monogram of King Albert, the reverse centre presents a raised XXV (25 in Roman Numerals), measures 16.69mm (w) x 19.37mm (h – inclusive of integral suspension ring), weighs 1.4 grams, heavily gilded, very fine condition.
Footnote: This cross was instituted King Albert on April 23, 1874, and it was conferred upon Officers for a minimum of 25 years of long and faithful service within the Saxon Military.
