(Roter Adlerorden). Instituted 12 June 1792. 1879-1918 Issue. IV Class. A straight-armed cross paty constructed of silver, pebbled arms with smooth borders,the obverse centre is enamel and bears a left-facing crowned red Prussian eagle holding a green wreath with checkered black and white shield, the reverse centre bears the crowned cipher “FW” (for Friedrich Wilhelm), measuring 21.77 mm (w) x 25.04 mm (h), with suspension ring on a boutonniere of white ribbon with two red stripes, very fine.
