Germany, Luftwaffe. A Luftwaffe Long Range Day Fighter Clasp, Bronze Grade

(Frontflugspange für Nachtjäger). Instituted on 13 May 1942. A clasp constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse with a central motif of a downward-pointing winged arrow, separately cast then riveted, a static swastika on the bottom of the wreath, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, the reverse with a slender horizontal pinback, a barrel hinge, and a round wire catch, measures 76.02 mm (w) x 25.67 mm (h), weighs 16.3 g, has lost most of the bronze colour, and is in over near very fine condition.
