A third reich period Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Marksmanship Proficiency Lanyard; Grade I; Type I; constructed of thick, twisted, silver bullion embroidery, with a braided, head of the lanyard with a 30 mm (w) x 38 mm (h) silvered aluminum badge displaying the Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika in its talons; large silver bullion adjustment knots at either end of the braiding; with a smaller silver bullion knot on the suspension loop; measuring 390 mm in length inclusive of its suspension loop; undecipherable writing on the reverse of the knot; with moderate loss of the original silver finish; in overall better than fine condition.
