Constructed of oven baked clay; the obverse with a map of Germany, circumscribed “Danzig ist Deutsch - 1. September 1939” (Danzig is German - September 1st, 1939); the reverse inscribed “Mit Mann und Ross und Wagen hat sie der Herr geschlagen” (With man and horse and vehicles were they beat), circumscribed with “Feldzug in Polen im September 1939” (Campaign in Poland in September 1939); measuring 50 mm in diameter; weighing 15.6 grams; mint condition.
