Germany, Luftwaffe. A Fallschirmjäger Badge by Gebrüder Wegerhoff

Constructed of gilded and silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a vertical pinback meeting an integrated catch, with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in place, maker marked with the logo of Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid, measuring 42.95 mm (w) x 53.75 mm (h), weighing 33.9 grams, some loss of finish evident, in overall better than very fine condition.
