(Eisernes Kreuz 1914 II. Klasse). Reinstituted 5 August 1914. (1914-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, marked “W” (Wagner, Berlin) on the suspension loop, with black and white ribbon, measuring 43.35 mm (w) x 47.82 mm (h), weighing20.1 grams, very fine.

A 1914 Iron Cross II Class Award Document to Unteroffizier D. R. Nokel on 14 March 1916, on cream coloured paper. Stamped and signed. Presenting two folding creases, with slight scuffing at edges. Measuring 210 mm (w) x 166 mm (h), very fine.
