(Fürstlich Schwarzburgisches Ehrenkreuz, III. Klasse mit Etui). Instituted 9 June 1857. (1857-1918 issue). Constructed of silver with gilt and enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central blue enameled oval medallion within a stylized gilt frame, bearing a raised gilt Schwarzburg lion rampant, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of Prince Friedrich Günther, the twelve o’clock arm with an integrated fan suspension and loop, unmarked, measuring 38.98 mm (w) x 46.44 mm (h), weighing 19.4 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, maker marked “BURY & LEONHARD, HOFJUWELIER, HANAU”, with a retractable slotted maroon velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, measuring 58 mm (w) x 78 mm (l) x 25 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.
