Haines for Thirteen Years' Service; Silver, obverse illustrating a standing fireman with a hose in his hands, flanked by shields and the letters "N' and "Z" (New Zealand) on either side, inscribed "UNITED FIRE BRIGADES ASSOCIATION" above and "AUXILIUM IN PERICULO" (Power in Danger) in Latin on the ribbon banner below, reverse inscribed "LONG SERVICE MEDAL PRESENTED TO" above the engraved inscription "Fir. Driver S.C. HAINES Petone F.B.", inscribed "FOR FIVE YEARS SERVICE DATE COMPLETED" above the engraved date "8.3.55. (March 8, 1955), 39 mm, suspended from an ornate bar suspension, four clasps on its original ribbon, each of the clasps are silver for two years' service, pinback hanger with three prongs, light contact, near extremely fine.
