Mongolia. An Order of the Red Banner of Labour Valour, c. 1945

Two-piece construction, silver gilt with red, white, green, light blue, royal blue and yellow enamels, number engraved "3122" on the reverse, 51 mm (w) x 54.5 mm (h), screwback, intact enamels, extremely fine. Footnote: The Order was instituted in 1926 as the Order of Literacy Valour. It was re-named Order of Civil Valour in 1931, then re-named Order of the Red Banner of Labour Valour in 1945. It was awarded for services in education, agriculture, health and industry and has only one class.
