Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse with a raised central German national eagle clutching a Sturmabteilung (SA) logo overlaid on an edelweiss, flanked by an inscription of “DER FÜHRER DER SA GRUPPE HOCHLAND” (“THE LEADER OF SA GROUP HOCHLAND”), circumscribed by an inscription of “WINTERSPORTKÄMPFE DER GLIEDERUNGEN DER NSDAP OBERSCHREIBERHAU” (“WINTER SPORTS GAMES OF THE SUB-DIVISIONS OF THE NSDAP OBERSCHREIBERHAU”), with a pair of skies through the medal, the reverse with a stamped dedication to “STANDARTENF. KUHN”, maker marked “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 88 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
