(Frontflugspange für Aufklärer in Silber). Constructed of silvered and bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a round laurel wreath joined together at the bottom by a swastika, with a central leftward-facing eagle head with detailed feathering, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with a single visible rivet holding the obverse eagle’s head in place, maker marked with the logo of Gebrüder Schneider, Wien, measuring 75.57 mm (w) x 25.32 mm (h), weighing 15.4 grams, some loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
