A Model 1943 field cap insignia that remains on section of panzer beret, constructed in a machine-woven style in matte-green/grey thread, on a black rayon trapezoid base, presents a SS-style national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a circled swastika, positioned above a skull and crossbones with a bottom jaw and a single row of teeth, attached to piece of the black wool cap, the insignia measures 69 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), the piece of cap measures 158 mm (w) x 91 mm (h), moderate discolouration on insignia, and in worn condition .
